GLA - Economist£36,238 Here in the GLA, GLA Economics’ analysis and advice informs many of the investment decisions we make, large-scale delivery we provide and key strategy we develop. And that’s not all; we’re also an information resource for anyone with an interest in London’s economy, including the capital’s academics, commentators and decision makers. Bring your understanding of London’s economy, and the international, national and regional issues and trends that could affect it, to us, and you’ll help make GLA Economics - part of the GLA’s Intelligence Unit - everyone’s first port of call for reliable information and data. Involved in specially commissioned projects too, you’ll often collaborate with people from different organisations and different professional backgrounds to get results. This is an ideal opportunity for you to develop expertise in a particular field of interest, such as housing, environment, labour market or regeneration for example, and take responsibility for the work our Unit does in this area. Both analytical and articulate in your approach, you’ll help ensure our data is accessible to a range of audiences, contributing to the preparation of our various publications. In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket and bicycle loan and final salary pension scheme. The closing date for applications is noon, 16 February 2010. Reference: GLA1032
