Current consultationsClimate change adaptation strategyThe Mayor's draft climate change adaptation strategy is now out for public consultation. The strategy identifies the key risks to London and Londoners and it proposes a range of actions to manage them. The Mayor is interested in your ideas on how London could adapt to climate change. Visit the consultation website to give your ideas and vote or comment on other people's ideas. The deadline for comments on this draft is 9 May 2010. The final strategy is due out in autumn 2010. Climate change migitation and energy strategyThe Mayor's draft climate change mitigation and energy strategy is now out for consultation with the London Assembly and the Functional Bodies. The strategy sets out how London can reduce its carbon emissions through schemes to use less energy in domestic and public buildings and encouraging low emission transport. The deadlines for comments on this draft is 1 April 2010. There will be a further three-month public consultation on a second draft in summer 2010. Municipal Waste Strategy'London's Wasted Resource', the Mayor's Draft Municipal Waste Management Strategy, has been published for consultation. The deadline for comments on this draft is 15 March 2010. There will be a further three-month public consultation stage in the summer of 2010. London's Wasted Resource - the Mayor's Draft Municipal Waste Management Strategy Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area Planning FrameworkThis consultation draft framework describes the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea area, current issues relating to the public realm, connectivity and legibility, transport issues, development capacity and associated social infrastructure and open space requirements. The consultation is open for public comment until 28 February 2010. Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area Planning Framework Shaping LondonThe Mayor launched his vision and strategy to make London the ‘best big city on earth’ with the publication on 12 October 2009 of his draft economic development, planning and transport strategies.
