2009 Young Londoners Survey

During March and April 2009, ICM research interviewed 1025 Londoners aged from 11 to 16 years old on the GLA's behalf. The purpose of this research is to help us understand how young people view their lives in London so that we might better address their needs. We asked them what they think about a number of issues that are important to their quality of life from what they do in their spare time to feeling safe, what their priorities are for the environment to how they like to get around.

Annual London Survey

The London Survey is a major annual opinion survey of Londoners, commissioned by the Mayor and the Greater London Authority. BMG Research were commissioned to carry out the ninth Annual London Survey for 2009. Over the past eight years the Annual London Survey has been undertaken to deliver evidence on the attitudes and opinions of Londoners of a wide range of issues, including policing, the environment and transport. Following his election, the new Mayor of London wishes to gauge the opinions and priorities of Londoners in the development of new policies and strategies for the capital via a new annual survey. The purpose of this survey is to inform policy making and the setting of strategic priorities.

Halloween and Fireworks Survey 2008

This survey was commissioned to explore anti-social behaviour, levels of safety and perceptions of police work around the time of halloween and bonfire night. It also looked at the campaign information aimed at increasing safety and reducing anti-social behaviour at this time of year that people had seen. Freshminds was commissioned to undertake an online survey to this end and received over 2800 responses.
